See you on Sunday the 26th of April 2009!
Sunday the 26th of April 2009, the Dutch community in Melbourne is organising the 5th edition of Dutch Orange Day: the party in Melbourne celebrating Queen Beatrix’ birthday.
This year’s theme is “the bicycle”. Come along on your bike to Queensbridge Square and participate in the world record attempt “Fietsbel bellen” (bike-bell ringing).
Enjoy Dutch foods like poffertjes, kroketten, loempias and oliebollen and drink a glass of Holland’s best beer. Dress in any fashion as long as it is Orange, the Dutch national colour! Other activities include Mister Whiskers and his dog Smiggy, Face Painting, Dutch Folkdance, Clog making demonstration and much more.
Win 2 tickets to Amsterdam, donated by KLM, for being to the highest bidder in the auction which starts online soon and continues during the Day. The proceeds go to DutchCare Inc., an organisation looking after the elderly Dutch.
Tot ziens!
