KLM Auction for Charity Terms and Conditions

  • The prize consists of two (2) return tickets in Economy Class from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth via Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam.
  • The carrier is KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The flights between Australia and Kuala Lumpur are operated by Malaysia Airlines.
  • Ticket won may be utilized in any season. Travel is subject to availability, we suggest to book your travel date as early as possible. Travel must commence prior to 27 April 2009.
  • The KLM tickets are not cash redeemable, non-transferable, non-upgradable and no extension of validity will be undertaken.
  • All taxes, personal items, valid passport, visa requirements, phone calls, laundry, transfers, accommodation, etc are at the Prize Winner’s own expense and responsibility.
  • The flights must be booked and take place together. It is not possible for one passenger to book two seperate trips.
  • The prize winner is permitted only to book their travel arrangements through KLM Sydney Ticket Office.
  • Bidders must be 18 years of age or older at the time of bidding.
  • Valid bids can only be made by submitting an amount in Australian Dollars on the auction page on this web site before 27 April 2008, OR by submitting a written bid on a valid form at the designated stand on 27 April 2008 at the Ducth Orange Day festival.
  • The winner will be the person who submitted the highest bid when the auction closes on 27 April 2008 at
    4.30 pm AEST.
  • The auction is 'silent' which means that yourbid amount will not automatically show on the website. We will however post indications of the higesth bid regularly on the website.
  • The prize will not be delivered to the winner until full payment of the winning auction bid has been received.
  • In case the winning bidder decides not to honour his/her bid by paying the sum of the winning bid, the second highest bidder will be offered the prize, and so forth.
  • The winner will be notified by the Dutch Orange Day Committee and the winner's name will be published on the Dutch Orange Day web site.
  • The winning bid amount will be donated to DutchCare.
  • The Dutch Orange Day Committee and representatives from KLM will ensure that the rightful winner will be selected. The committee's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winner.
